Trying to change gamertag but website and xbox pretty much told me "no"

I've been trying to change my gamertag for a bit now, once I finally figured out what name I would be under while attempting a career. However, each and every time I try to change it, I am told "This gamertag isn't allowed. Try a different one." I am having difficulties with figuring what the problem with this name is so that I can fix it while keeping the identity that I have on almost every other platform. The name in question here is "Soultstice".

Thanks...I missed the extra T in it. Can't find a company with that name though...maybe it's a location thing

If the gamertag he wants is "Soultstice" (as thats what was typed, then I have no idea why it would be blocked.

However if it was "Soulstice" then it looks like that is actually a companies name, and companies are really protective of their names.

There could be multiple reasons why you're experiencing these issues. If the gamer tag reports as not allowed it is only because it is blocked on the XBL side for a reason. This is likely due to illegal names (profanity etc), prior abuse with a banned account (spam, cheating), hacked account (closed for security), or that it is taken. Try using a different word or a different combination of words. Hope this helps!

When you try to change your gamertag, the system checks it with a list of unauthorized Gamertags which may be disallowed for different reasons, there is no way to get to use a gamertag that it's on that list

Funnily enough, the “t” is actually supposed to be there. I messed up typing one time and decided to roll with it but apparently Microsoft isn’t a fan.
