trying to buy the Destiny Rise of Iron DLC

ive been attempting to buy the new DLC coming out in a few days for Destiny and it says its only part of a bundle,but my friend has already Pre-Ordered it and im confused on why he can but i cant, ive also tried going into the ingame area that shows the
DLC and when i click "purchase" it just says "query failed Could not establish a connection with the Xbox Games Store.New silver purchases will update when you next sign in"

Preordering Rise of iron

In order to purchase Destiny: Rise of Iron you must make sure your account which is trying to purchase Rise of Iron owns Destiny: The Taken King. That is required to be able to purchase Rise of Iron.

Now if you have finished that step then you have a few methods of which you can buy the DLC:

1. You can sign into your account via this link here:
www.microsoft.com/.../c3tbg0pc3fc9 and buy the DLC

Or

2. Launch your game and under the director select the icon for Rise of Iron and select purchase and try to purchase the DLC.

Now you also could try searing the Store on your Xbox One for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" but if you do make sure it says "Pre-Order" otherwise you will run into the issue of it stating it can only be bought in a bundle.

Same with my account. I've been looking to purchase the 'add-on' for weeks now. Very annoying.

 

Hello there,

In order to preorder "Rise of the Iron Lord" you need to own the main game and all previous released DLC assigned to the account you want to preorder "Rise of the Iron Lord" with. If your Account is missing any of the previous DLC you cant preorder.

Please check if you have purchsed all already released DLC and you are using the account assigned to the DLC to preorder the Iron Lord addon.

 

i have all of the DLC,i have it on disk but that shouldnt matter

 

I can pre order the Game on my Xbox One. Note that there are two Version, one is bundle only but the other i can pre order. Searched for "Rise of Iron" in store. However i cant preorder the addon from the Website, there its greyed off.

It seems like there is something wrong with that specific game and the requirements in the store. Seeing a lot of posts regarding this issue lately.

 

I spoke to Xbox Support Team. They just check that you have the game and the previous DLC. And since I have both these requirements their advice is to contact Bungie for support - pretty lame. When challenged how Bungie could help with purchases through
the xbox store (on console or web) they confessed that our inability to pre-order the new DLC is a known issue and that engineers are working to resolve.

Still not working for me.

 

It looks like they have forgotten to replace the preorder link with the purchase link. So it keeps sending me to preorder, but I can't because it's already launched.

 

Pretty week, I purchased the preorder through gamestop. What they gave me was a 30$ Microsoft points card and the codes for the black gjally and the sparrow. I keep getting the query failed could not establish connection to the xbox games store error whenever
I try to purchase in game, and it just shows up as a bundle on the xbox store. Not cool.

 

Go to manage game, delete all of the expansions (but not the ~45GB main game) reinstall them and try again

Each of the expansions is only about 5-7MB so redownloading them only takes a few minutes.

I also did a hard reset of my XB1 (hold down power for 10-15 seconds then power back on)

 

im in practially the same situation with anyone else that preordered though gamestop. posting here to hopefully get more light and attention on the subject. and @ricky1981 i tried your method of removing all additional content with exeption to the actual
game of course and reinstalling with no success. not saying no one else shouldnt try!!! hope everyone best of luck out there.
