Trying to allow multiplayer

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with being able to use multiplayer modes in Fortnite.

This game is configured in such a way that if you do not have your
Xbox Live Privacy settings configured, you will be unable to use certain multiplayer featuers in this game. This is as per design.

The easiest solution is to use the suggestions provided by SnacjbgSN, as this will give you the most flexibility when playing multiplayer games.
However, if this is not the path you would prefer to use, its best that you check what exactly is enabled in the Adult defaults configuration and cross-reference what you have enabled in your Custom configuration to create
a new, more optimal configuration.

Here on the Xbox Forums, we do not have the necessary tools to specialize with configuring settings to allow ceartian in-game featuers.

So they only way to allow my kids to play multiplayer games is to set them to adult settings? That seems unreasonable. There has to be another solution.

I believe the problem is that your permission settings are blocking online multiplayer games.

I had this problem myself when I got my xbox, if you’re certain the xbox live gold subscription has been applied then the issue is probably just due to the account restrictions,

I recommend going back into settings and allowing “adult permissions”, which allow you to play online games.

Hello Belle, everytime i resubmit and delete and reinstall the game it works.

But for only like 10 seconds...
It allows me to access multiplayer but as soon as i try join a server it says "microsoft account doesn't allow you to play multiplayer"

Ive uninstalled all apps now and will try again later

Guys for 3 days now i have been allowed then not allowed to play multiplayer / zombies. it keeps saying that the servers are unavailalbe at this time please try later...???...
