    I am trying to change gamertag for my 12-year old son. I keep getting the same type of error. I have tried several types of payment methods. I even put money in his account.

    My son gets mad at me and he wants to use my gamertag and I dont like my gamertag but I cant give him my gamertag and my son has not enough money to change it can you set my gamertag to TheTerrarian89

    Childs gamertag not showing in XBOX parental control settings on PC

    My childs gamertag is unavailable when I try to change security settings. Both my sons are registered and can be seen normally in Microsoft Family Settings. But when going to XBOX.com to change settings so they can play online they do not even show up. I've
    read that many others have experienced the same issue. Could someone official at MS please fix this. !! Whe purchased Forza Horizon 3 digital DL for PC for my son and he can't play online at all. Real dissapointment.

    Unfortunately for you, you are responsible for anything that happens with your account. They will probably not help you since your account was left accessible to other users. Most likely, you will just have to pay to change it to a tag that you want.

    Thanks for keeping us updated. Where exactly are you trying change your sons gamertag? There are a couple platforms you could do this on. You can change gamertags on the console or on the website. I recommend trying the alternative method to the one you
    have been attempting to see if the issue persists.

    How to change your Xbox gamertag

    If you have been trying from the website, then you can also try using a different browser or a different device entirely.
