"Try connecting your device again" and other related issues

My Xbox one series 20th anniversary controller has been working fine up until today, where it randomly started disconnecting. I thought it was a problem with the batteries, but when I changed them I had the same issue. I then figured that I would disconnect and reconnect the controller. Since then I have repeatedly encountered the "try connecting your device again" error. So far I have tried:

-turning Bluetooth off and on again

-turning my pc off and on again

    -updating the controller firmware

-updating both the bluetooth and wifi drivers

-uninstalling drivers and power cycling again

Now here's the kicker; connection from the controller to my phone is possible and connection from my pc to my phone is possible, so why can't I connect my controller to my pc?

    :)

    thanks for your reply.

It is not a problem related to DNS. The issue happens even on other devices and on different internet connections.

    Xbox One Start-Up Problem

Have you had any issues with your internet connection on other devices? It sounds like it could possibly be related to your internet speed going down.

Problem With Consoles Not Being Able To Join Any Game Servers! XBOX ONE AND NINTENDO SWITCH!! Can you help?

    Hi there,

if multiple devices are showing issues connecting then it could be related to your internet connection or network.

In such case I would try to restart things like Modem and or Router and other devices that are part of your network, to see if that helps anything.

Also run a network test on the Xbox console, it may give some additional information too.

    Let us know the results

    Disconnecting

    Hi!

I know you mentioned a lot of troubleshooting but this particular issue is generally internet connection related. Did you notice any other devices having issues connecting? Have you spoken to your ISP?

Annihilation Map Pack Purchased But WON'T Dowload

To be honest, those aren't the greatest speeds to begin with, and if the Xbox is sharing those speeds with other devices, you may see a lot of issue downloading. Try connecting your Xbox directly to the modem (wired) and remove other devices from the network.
Try starting your download over again. Do you see any difference?
