The title is what my win 10 xbox app says about my mesages. I tried to refresh. No go. I signed out and signed in. no go. i looked for an update, none available. uninstalled the app (through the powershel). restarted PC. then reinstalled the app.
worked right after i did this, now it wont work again. Everything else in the app seems to work, except the messages. What is going on?

    :)

  3. Xbox App not displaying conversations.

On multiple computers when I click on messages tab it shows the following message. "Try again---we had trouble getting your conversations." Refreshing page, logging in and out do not work. Like I said this happens on several different computers.

    Hi,

Based on how you described the issue, it appears that a content in the app is corrupted. To properly isolate your concern, we suggest that you click on this

    link
and download the Windows App troubleshooter. Once downloaded, run it on your computer.

If the issue persists, restart your computer to normal startup. This process will disable the unnecessary apps running at the background while you are using your computer.

    Here's how:

    1. Press Windows + R on the keyboard.
    2. Type msconfig, and then click OK.
    3. On the General tab, click the Normal Startup, and then click OK.
    4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.

After performing the steps above, launch the Xbox App and check if you can access the messages.

If you need further assistance, feel free to reply on this post.

  5. I tried both of these and neither one worked. It did say that the store cache might be corrupted. I am wondering though that if the store cache was corrupted, wouldnt it effect the whole app? The whole thing is not effected though. I still see the achievements
and forum posts in real time, but it is JUST the messages that are effected. It will not show any conversations, and it will not let me send messages. I also went to xbox.com and send a message from there. It was only showing messages up to April 5. It
is the 20th. When I tried to send a message from the website, it said that it was unable to at this time as well. I posted on a different forum that my xbox rewards were not working right either. It is not recognizing my account as being gold when it has
been for a few YEARS now. They responded that it had to do with an insider update and they were looking into it. Could one of those insider updates affected the messages on the account as well? I can get messages on my console, and sometimes on my phone
(i don't always receive the notification that a message was received to the account). It is really messed up because this all seemed to happen in a short time span from each other too.

We appreciate your response. To further isolate your concern, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Did the issue start after an update?
    • Were you able to send messages on Xbox.com?
    • Have you tried sending messages using a different profile on the same computer?

We would like to let you know that the messages on the Xbox Message Center are automatically deleted by the system after 30 days.

    Hi,

An outdated version of the application and corrupted installation files are possible reasons why you're having issues with the Xbox app on Windows 10.

We suggest running the Windows apps troubleshooter provided on this
    link
. This can help resolve issues regarding digital items downloaded from the Windows Store.

We also recommend checking if there are updates available for the Xbox app and the Windows 10 PC. Refer to the following links for the steps:

Check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store

How to get software and driver updates for Windows 10

If the same instance occurs, kindly reset the Xbox app. Here are the steps:

    1. Click the Start button and click Settings.
    2. Select System.
    3. Select Apps & features.
    4. Find the Xbox app and click Advanced options.
    5. Click Reset.
    6. Restart your device so that the changes can take effect.
    7. Launch the Xbox app and check if the same issue occurs.

    1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.

    5. In the Blu-Ray section, select Persistent Storage.
    6. Select Clear persistent storage.
    7. Restart your Xbox One console.
    Solution 2: Clear MAC Address

    1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select Network.
    5. Select Network settings.
    6. Select Advanced settings.
    7. Select Alternate MAC address.
    8. Select Clear.
    9. Select Restart.
Solution 3: Remove and re-add your Microsoft account on Xbox One

    Refer to this
    link
and perform the steps provided. Make sure to restart your Xbox One console before re-adding your Microsoft account.
