    The same thing is happening to me. About an hour and a half ago now, my console (an Xbox One X) has succumbed to the issue and can no longer connect to log in or advance to the Home Screen. Initially, upon restart, it came up with a reset or troubleshoot
    option, along with an error code, that I didn't make note of, thinking it was a one-off issue. I did a hard reset and have been dealing with this loop ever since.

  2. As an update to this issue for me: Luckily, I was able to reset the console to factory settings, keeping my games and apps intact. It's still hiccupping though. We'll see how this goes.

    87DD0006 occurs when you try to sign in to Xbox Live on Xbox One
    ." If this is not working then it could be related to the Active Service alert.

    Give it a little time and just check back on the
    Xbox Live Status Page
    to see when the issue has been resolved.

    It doesn't help and you guys know it doesn't by the flooding of posts. I mean honestly do you think we all are stupid. Gaming consoles have been around for ages everyone knows by now if you have a problem first thing you do is power it off and wait and the
    on again. I understand you want to make sure we done this but majority of people dont want to come here and post asking unless they already tried everything they know to do. Please actually look into what is wrong and let us know. And its sad that the service
    issue says its only a problem with downloads and purchasing items yet i cant even log in to attempt the things having issues.
