I need some help from the community! (Headsets)

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place!

I am trying to decide between two headsets - the turtle beach x800 and Astro A50.

From what I've gathered, here are the pro and cons.

Turtle Beach is completely wireless, no cord to the controller. This is not true for the Astros, however the Astros look like a better quality build and from what I hear, are very comfortable. It will allow work on my PS4 and PC.

I was hoping the community could give me any input on these headsets. I am leaning towards the x800, but was hoping someone could give me some input if they have a pair!

Turtle Beach Elite 800x Dolby atmos setup on Xbox one X

    Hi TheAntiChisto0,

It looks like Turtle Beach is recommending to not
use Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos per
    this link
. I would suggest reaching out to them to see if there is a work around to get the 3D sound. If there is and you're using the optical cable, it would be to go to headset audio, and use optical settings to push the Atmos. Then you would need to
make sure your x800 headset is receiving only stereo. Other than that I would suggest reaching out to Turtle Beach as perhaps it's not something the x800 can push.

So, I have the 800x headset and I love them but I have an issue with chat. I have 2 Xbox Ones, the upstairs Xbox works fine with the game sound and the chat feature but when I hook up the 800x to my secondary Xbox (in the basement) my chat feature does not
work. When I'm on the party screen it shows my avatar pic lighting up when I speak but I can't hear my party speaking to me. I believe that there might be something else using the same frequency as the 800x but I'm unsure. Does anyone else have this problem.
I've turned off my computer, moved my router and modem and I've also turned off the baby monitor too. (Thats been proven to interrupt signals as well. I don't know what else to do. I've also heard that a furnace has interrupted signals as well. My basement
is unfinished right now so I don't have anyway to actually block any interfering signals, if that's what this truly is. BTW, if I use my chat adapter and wire the headset to my controller the chat feature works fine.

    Thanks in advance!

Update - I've switched my consoles, so the upstairs is now downstairs and the downstairs is now upstairs. The previous Xbox One that worked with chat is now not working downstairs and vise versa. I recently got an email back from Turtle Beach and they said
that there's an issue with the preview program and the NXOE as well but that doesn't explain why it was working upstairs and not downstairs.

So, I was speaking with someone on Facebook and they suggested to plug this headset into your controller and then unplug it. This person said that the 800X needs a jumpstart to get the signal to the transmitter started. I haven't tried this yet but hope
    to soon. Hope this helps!

  6. Hey there oO Batch Oo and Kingdom82555!

Sorry to hear about the issue! Since you are participating in the Preview Program, you will need to make a post in the Xbox One Preview Forums. This way the proper folks can address the issue.
    Thanks in advance!
