Troubleshooting Archvale game install/uninstall

No luck with any of those options.

Ok.. let's try the following procedure:

Logout from the Microsoft store:

- Open Windows Store app, and click on the user icon located on the top right hand side of the window.

- Select the user name, and click on Sign out.

Reset Windows Store

- Press Win + R on your keyboard

- Type in WSReset.exe and press Enter

- A pop-up should show up for a brief period of time

After that do login again in the Microsoft store and try to uninstall/install the game again...

Check if your windows and all its services are up to date:

- Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

- Click Check for Updates;

- Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

If the issue persist:

- In the windows search bar type "Powershell"

- Right click and select open as administrator

- Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers"

Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC and open the gamepass app, it will ask you to reinstall the gaming services, install it, and try again.

any update on this because the uninstall never worked for me and id like to start achievement hunting again, achievements pop on other games but not archvale or mowing simulator

Hello Tawny, thanks for sharing that. I can suggest other possible solutions in that case:

Option A:

1. Sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store

2. Reset the Microsoft store cache using the wreset.exe command

3. Double check if everything is up to date via Windows Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update, also check for Updates via Microsoft store

4. Once everything is up to date try now to sign in with your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store

5. Finally open the Xbox app and see if you can install the game

Option B:

Open task manager and go to the startup tab, once there click "disable" on each app listed there

After that Restart the PC and see if the problem is solved
