    I purchased a 1 yr xbox live subscription, entered the code, and I receive the following message:

    Something went wrong. Try to redeem the code again in a few minutes.

    Anyone else having this issue?
    What is the fix?
    How long did it take?

    I already called support, and they said to try it again in an hour or two
    Well, it has literally been 8 hours, and it still doesn't work.

    I chatted with support, and they have no idea when it might be fixed. They say it is a known issue with their servers.
    Others on the support forum seem to have waited for days, with no fix.

    Extremely frustrated with this situation.

    Hey there MI3CZDA3.

    Not quite understanding the issue you're having. Are you trying to change your Gamertag, or are you having trouble signing into Xbox Live to redeem your pre-paid Xbox Live card?

    Not quite understanding the issue you're having. Are you trying to change your Gamertag, or are you having trouble signing into Xbox Live to redeem your pre-paid Xbox Live card?

    I know the pre paid cards like that do not play well with Xbox.

    The reason for this is that what Microsoft sends to them as the info on what was purchased just says Xbox Live this is done with any credit/debit card that is used as a payment option not just these pre-paid cards and these pre-paid cards see it as a possible
    recurring payment and do not like that because they are pre-paid cards.

    So with that said your best bet would be to do what ThisGameIsSucky said and go to a retailer and purchase an xbox live gift card if that is what you are trying to purchase to put the money on your account.

    Gift cards do not work for Xbox Live, you need to buy an Xbox Live pre paid subscription card.
