Trouble with Xbox Live and EA Desktop

I have searched and I can't see anyone with my exact problem.

I have 10 hours playing It Takes Two with a friend.

Now when I open the EA Desktop App, it shows the game as uninstalled and tries to download the game fresh - but gives me an error message when I try to download it. I have uninstalled the game, and I still get the same issue. I have the same issue with all other games too. (I'm aware this is probably an EA issue - the Xbox part follows)

As far as I can tell, my Xbox Live account and my EA desktop account are not correctly linked. If I log in to my EA account using my password, that account is not linked to Xbox. And if I try to log in to EA via the portal just by clicking the Xbox button, I get an error message: {"error":"invalid_request","error_description":"client_id is missing","code":101102}

Is there a way to re-link my Xbox and EA Desktop clients?

the process of linking accounts is done on the EA platform and you should consult EA support to assist you in this process.

already about the game try the following:

- press Windows key + R and type no run the command "regedit".

- Browse for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - System - CurrectControlSet - Services

- Remove "GamingServices and GamingServices.net"

- After that, just open your XBOX application which will ask for the Games Service to be installed, after completion it will work again

Try this;

1- Close the EA Desktop application
2- Go back to the Xbox application and try to download an EA Play game
3- The EA Desktop will run and ask you to connect your Xbox Live account (You can check if your accounts are connected at the following link https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/aboutme/index

4- Exit the EA Desktop again
5- Run EA Desktop
6- You should be able to download games directly from the EA Desktop now

If you had a previous account linking and it doesnt say "EA play with game pass" under settings-> my account -> my membership in EA Desktop app then I suggest

- Clicking Manage from the settings in EA Desktop app to go to the EA customer portal website and under Connections disconnect the xbox account

- Then log out of EA Desktop and exit both apps

- Then install a EA game from xbox app

It will log you into EA Desktop and link accounts giving "EA play with game pass" membership and start downloading from EA Desktop app

Note it says you can only ever link one xbox account to your EA account

If you are having trouble installing a game from the EA Desktop on your Windows 10 device, We suggest making sure that your Windows 10 computer is up to date. Also, try restarting your computer. If this does not fix the issue, we recommend re-installing EA Desktop.

Close the EA Desktop app.
Open the Control Panel (find it by searching Control Panel in the Start menu).
Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
Click on EA Desktop and uninstall.
Reinstall EA Desktop, then try installing your game again.

However, if the issue persists, please try contacting the EA support to report the issue.

Hey Vladimir!

Check if you have linked the EA account to Xbox, then try to download EA desktop separately and try to install the game you want to play from the EA desktop (not the Xbox app). Hope this helps!
