Trouble with Vizio P Series (2018) HDR

Thank you for reaching out. Before suggesting any troubleshooting, I'd like for you to take a look at this reddit comment from r/hometheater:

"The issue is caused by Xbox originally sending only 4:2:0 content for
Hdr.
Vizioupdated the tv which originally supported only 4:2:2
yosupport the lower standard for Xbox. At the same time Xbox added support for 4.2.2. That broke
vizio'sfix. There are 2 working solutions. Do not turn on 4:2:2 for standard video or use full
rgbm. If using full
rgbthe tv automatically goes to 4:4:4 mode. This bypasses the
subsampelingsetting but u still have to disable the 4:2:2 for it to work.

tvscan process the 12 bit signal. This comes from the Dolby Vision processing. It processes DV at 4:4:4 RGB full 12 bit 4096 shades of gray and 20k nits
Thedv processor then dumbs that down to the display capability on a frame per frame basis. That process is called tone mapping. By
defaultfor most of what box does is done the same. The Xbox takes the full 4:4:4 signal and compresses it. The full
rgbcolor at 12 bit and compresses it and takes the 4096 shades and compresses that to output to a tv so it can process that. By selecting
rgb12bit and not 4:2:2 you are telling Xbox to send the full signal and let the tv process that. The
Viziocan.

The user had a 2018 Vizio P Series TV as well and was experiencing issues similar to the ones you are describing. It may be worth a shot looking into

Same here, brand new M65-d0. With Xbox One S set to 4K display, with 4K and HDR enabled the screen with either go to 'silent static' or freeze image (while I can hear the game continue in background).

HDR is working, but it appears to cause the M65 to crash when in-game. I do not see this behavior in the Xbox dashboard nor game menus.

According to this post from Vizio CTO on AVSForums, it is known issue?
