Trouble with updates?

So, my console used to work just fine. Worked smoothly, could connect to microsoft store and other sites (through youtube, twitch and microsoft edge), no problem at all. But for the third time this week I had to reset my account.

The first time the console told me there was a problem with an update (E202 8007000E 00000000). I reset the account and it worked.

The second time the console got laggy. It wouldn't load games or apps, telling me it took too much time to load. In this occasion the console worked fine if offline. If connected, the console would ask me authentication every time, although often it was
just a black screen. I figured it was a problem signing in on xbox live. The xbox live status said the service was online but still, i couldn't sign in properly. Reset the account and updated the console through settings. I also turned on automatic updates,
in case the non-updated software was the problem.

And here i am. Green screen of death. This time, instead of resetting, i did an offline update. It's stuck at 88% (71% of applying update) and has been there for 30 minutes. So the problem appears to be the update.

Now, considering that the console is fine offline, and that many people lamented problems similar to mines lately, is this a problem on microsoft end, or my end?

Have a look at
Mister Gwyther's Issues Installing Update page! There you will find a numerous amount of solutions and troubleshoot steps regarding the issues users face with downloading the update!

Also, try Deleting your Profile (Delete/ Download Xbox LIVE Profile) Make sure you delete the Profile only and not its contents.

Once you have done that,
Clear System Cache 3 times!

Now that you have done that, download your profile again. (The links provided should assist you in doing so).

my suggestion is to remove the hd and reset it, here ill post link for you

support.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive

that should fix your issue if it doesnt please let us know.

Verachi - Anything you just posted wouldn't work for him as 0000 (the second set of numbers) aren't even listed as one of the suggested codes to use for those steps. That specific error code isn't actually listed on the system update error page.
