Trouble with the Microsoft Game Store/XBOX App

I've been trying to install Forza 5 about 3 times now. I've wasted 101 gbs towards my data cap, so that's obviously not great. Ideally, it would be better if Microsoft gave me the error before I downloaded ALL of the size...But I keep receiving this error message.

It's not awesome that Microsoft gives me zero details about what's triggering this issue. I just have to hope I find a soltuion some day. It's also not awesome that Microsoft doesn't tell you where the game is saving. There is no way I'm going to save to my SDD where is where the rest of my apps are installed, given the file size. So, I'm trying to install to my HDD drive. I try searching for the game while it's installing within the drive, but I can't find ANYTHING.

Why does Microsoft have such an overly convoluted and obtuse way of downloading these things, who knows?

Can anyone help me with this issue? I tried resetting the Game Store, signing in and out, running the reset Microsoft Store command, etc.

I tried uninstalling the Microsoft Store and reinstalling it again to see if it worked, and it didn't.

Their categories don't include issues with the Game Store. I think this is an issue with Windows itself.

Hi there Edward welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. It seems that a lot of users are having the installing on an EHDD issue! Some users have found a solution by reinstalling the Xbox app! I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

Thank you so much for the update and I apologize for the trouble. I can confirm that it's not showing on the Xbox App itself, but it should be visible on Microsoft Store App. Were you able to try and install the game from there?
