Trouble with purchasing backwards compatible games

I noticed that Dirt Showdown was listed under the free games with gold that I could purchase(in an email) so I figured I would take advantage of the fact it is backwards compatible on Xbox one and download it on there...HOWEVER through a browser it says
it's only purchasable through the Xbox store, and in the Xbox store on the Xbox one it says the game is bundle only. So how do I purhcase and download it, do I need a 360 account as I made the account new for the Xbox one?

I'm sorry to hear that there's troubles purchasing a backwards compatible game on the Xbox One S.

When making purchases for backwards compatible games on an Xbox One you might run into a few issues if you have a child account, and/or if you're trying to make a purchase with account credit.

In these circumstances I would recommend for you to try to make the purchase either through our
website or from an Xbox 360.

Currently, 360 games can only be purchased on the 360 console or through xbox.com. You do have to have a payment method on file in order to purchase them from the website.

You don't need to make a different account since you can use the same account on both consoles.

 

You can't use the edge browser on the xbox one for 360 purchases you must use the pc and the website

 

I have tried to purchase backward compatability games through my Xbox One but my account is not recognised and I get a "no suitable account" message. Is any one else getting the same problems if they are MS have once again only half done the job!
