    Trouble with new mic (Need help)


    So I got a new mic head set which is a kotion each g2000 (And yes I know it's only for PC gaming but I've seen people on YouTube use it on their PS4 and Xbox One) Anyway I set it up to use on my Xbox One but I can hear people talking but when I speak into
    the mic itself the chat doesn't pick it up. I've tested it like 5 times with a voice message (Didn't send it) and a test on a party by myself, So I don't know what's going on did I do something wrong or is there another way to get it to work?

    I need help.

    I just got a new mic today and its in perfect condition. But it refuses to work. i had this same issue with my last mic. Do i need a new controller, or can i fix my current controllers mic port? Please help

    Mic only works for Cortana. (Not sure if right forum sorry)

    so I got a new mic. (Just a wire with a mic connected to headphones) it works perfectly for cortana but doesn’t work at all for party’s and online multiplayer? Need help very annoying!

    Hey Chalicedyeet,

    Two things to try, Hard restarting your xbox console and updating your controller!

    The
    controller update     believe it or not might be what fixes it, you would think that a new controller would be set, but as a matter of fact it can sit on the self for a time while microsoft pushes out new updates.

    Try both of those, if no result
    contact     microsoft directly!

    Hi!

    First check in the guide in "audio" to see if your mic is enabled or disabled. Then see if you need any controller updates or restarting your xbox. If both of these don't work then it's most likely your controller I'm sorry to say. If you still have a warranty
    on the controller please contact support to get a new one. (I'll provide a link below)

    Check the Xbox Accessories App on the console and verify that the headset is assigned to your profile. Are you trying to talk in an Xbox Party or in game chat?
