trouble with my account

    trouble with my account


    I can't connect to xbox live. whenever i try to sign in it says "sorry you can't sign in to xbox live right now." I've signed in to other accounts on the same xbox, and that worked so i think it is the profile itself. I've changed the password on my microsoft
    account, and getting a new app password (I have 2 step verification). it started to sign in but as soon as it started to connect it gave me the same alert. I tried deleting the profile off of the xbox and redownloading it. it started to download but, once
    again it stopped and said "sorry, xbox live profiles cannot be downloaded right now." i contacted support and the person referred me to this forum so i am asking for help.

    also my dad was taking a look at it and he said it might be the billing info because my profile is synced up with it and he has had to get a new card several times over the past few months. we changed the info on the profile to the correct info but idk i

    If the account you used to post here is the account you are having problems with, it is likely because you show as having a silver account. This is likely a billing issue. You may want to check to be sure your account is up to date for payment.

    I don't know which system you are on right now, but at the time of this post, Xbox One services are limited:
    support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status

    If that is out of question, or are using an Xbox 360, there could be a problem with your router/modem. Try resetting it by turning off the power to the router/modem for 10-15 minutes, then turning it back on. If you are able to access the internet with other
    devices connected to the internet, it could be you Network Settings. Try going to Settings>System Settings>Network Settings and select your network; try checking your configuration to match your ISP specifications, "Automatic" of your ISP didn't give you a
    username and password to login to the internet, and/or gave you certain DNS and IP settings.

    If none of that works, try searching Support topics about Networking:

    >Xbox One:
    support.xbox.com/.../networking

    HI! If you believe it is a possible billing issue please go to Commerce.Microsoft.com and sign into your account. In here you can view all your billing information including your payment instruments. While you are there please make sure that the card is
    up-to-date AND that the billing information for the payment instrument matches your banking information on the card EXACTLY. Check for things such a middle initial or the use of Rd instead of Road.

    Please make sure you are checking this on the payment instrument page because your account billing information is NOT the same thing. (Otherwise you could not use someone else's credit card on your account).

    If all is well there also go to account.live.com and make sure your Security proofs are on there, you must have two of them and they must be verified.

    Last but not least I do not knows WHY that agent sent you to the forums for this issue as this is something that they handle so if all of the above are good ( including the previous post) then please do contact them again. This IS within their purview and
    do let them know that the previous agent incorrectly sent you to the forums! THANKS and good luck!

    You can follow the steps in that guide and it should fix that issue.

    To sum it up for you; Go to account.live.com, sign into your account, its going to say "someone else might be using your account", hit next and then it will ask you to verify your identity with a text or email, it will then prompt you to change your password.
    After that you should be good.

    If you cannot verify, do the ACSR form and fill out as much information as you possible can. If you are having difficulty doing so, contact support. They're great at helping out with this error code.

    Its not a billing issue nor does it have to do with him being a silver account.
