trouble with my 360

Unfortunately that is the lifespan of the great 360. Its just like a automobile, by the time the warranty expires is the time it most likely will fail due to just worn out parts. etc. But just as some cars of the same make and model they last longer for
some reason as their counterparts, so maybe your 360 can last a lifetime. I still have mine, it gave out a long time ago a few months after i ought it, but after sending it in for repairs, its been working since all that time, of course over the years it didn't
get much use however it still works. So maybe if you get it fixed it may last another 10 years, one can never tell.

Will it read other disks? Disk drive could be bad or on need of cleaning.

There are several things you can quickly check to narrow down the problem. Does the disc actually go into the Xbox 360 fully? Does it make a strange noise while the disc is loading? Is it possible that the disc is actually 2
discs stuck together (common with very new discs that are packaged together)? Is the disc scratched or dirty? Is the disc authentic (not bootleg copy)?

When you insert the disc, what appears on the screen?
