    Trouble with Installing Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition


    Hello, everyone!

    A few days ago, I had Minecraft installed on my PC and then the next day, the computer didn't wanna turn on properly. I managed to fix it with the help of one of my acquaintances and we had to reinstall Windows 10. I wanted to install Minecraft again, but
    there is no Install button on the Minecraft page on Microsoft Store. There is only a Buy button. This is strange because I already redeemed a copy of Minecraft on my Microsoft account and I can also show you the proof. Here it is:

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble installing Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. If you have purchased Minecraft: Xbox One Edition that game is not part of our

    Xbox Play Anywhere games list     yet. That means you would have to purchase the Windows 10 version to install it on your Windows 10 PC. Hope this helps

    Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition runs specifically on Windows 10. If you would like to play Minecraft on Xbox One, you will want to take a look at Minecraft:
    Xbox One Edition    . If you would like to install the Windows 10 version of Minecraft on your Windows 10 PC, sign into the account that originally redeemed the code and download through the Windows Store.

    If you have Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Xbox One, then you would be able to use that to install Minecraft from the Windows 10 store and play yes. Is that what you're asking for? Should be able to get it from the Windows 10 store and searching for Minecraft.

    Minecraft Bedrock Edition for Xbox One only gives you the ability to install on the Xbox One, unfortunately.

    The only edition of Minecraft that allows installation on Windows is Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft for Windows 10.

    If your friends are able to install Minecraft on Windows, they must have one of the above mentioned editions.
