Trouble with gamertag

After bouncing around trying to get access to my Microsoft account I finally got in. When I got in they had assigned a different gamertag in my account. Everytime try changing the gamertag, I get an error message. I feel like I just keep getting bounced
around and around. The security Microsoft puts on these accounts is ridiculous and makes it incredibly difficult to just logon. How do I get my original gamertag back. Everytime I search for it it says the gamertag is taken, I know it is, it's Mine! Please
help!!!

You can try deleting your profile & redownloading it,just make sure you know your log in details.

It can take a few days for everything to sync up sometimes

Yesterday I changed my gamertag using the Xbox website. It has been over 24 hours and my gamertag still has not changed yet.

Just wondering if this is normal or not?

Any help would be appreciated

When you had difficulties signing into your Microsoft Account, did you contact Microsoft using their secure eforms or through Xbox Support Chat?

• Also, how long ago did you last sign into your Microsoft Account before the gamertag was changed?
  
• Have you used the right credentials?
• did you link that gamertag with another Microsoft Account in the past, maybe by mistake (I know it can be highly unlikely, but I have seen people antecedently change their password)?
  

Also, does the gamertag have the same Motto or when does it say it was last online?

I know it is a lot of questions. However, I am a little unsure, it may be because someone else now has that Gamertag or something else.

I logged in yesterday. My gamer tag was Osizzle1. I was having trouble adding friends so I thought maybe I would try it through the internet. I was having trouble logging into my Microsoft account with the security checks so I kept trying and receiving
the codes to enter. That is when everything got messed up. I just want my old gamertag back. I don't even know what a UnusablePear is. I want Osizzle1 back and have no clue how to. Everytime I try going to "My Profile" I get a "Oopps, you've found a glitch
in our system" error. It's driving me nuts. I didn't talk to Microsoft yet, that is why I am here.

I personally think that somehow you ended up with two xbox live accounts connected to the same Microsoft Account, in that case I do advise you to contact Xbox Support (by Phone) they should be able to take a more indept look to see what happened and hopefully
fix the issue or at least guide you through the steps to fix it.
