Trouble with External Drive

    Trouble with External Drive


    I just purchased a brand new 3TB hard drive to replace my previous one. I'm not using the drive for games or apps, I'm using it for music and movies. When I connect it to the xbox one, it recognizes the drive, but when i select to open and explore it, the
    media player says no drives are recognized. I have done full formats to the drive and tried both NTFS and exFAT, and while both formats work for file storage, it does nothing to remedy the problem with the xbox. I have also tried every USB port the xbox has.
    My old external drive is formatted as FAT32 and is recognized by the xbox and plays files no problem. I've chatted with xbox support a few times already but havent been able to solve the problem. Please help

    Trouble with external Hard drive

    Same problem here.

    Trying to opt out now, but all saves will be removed if i do that. "put the save games on external drive" if i only could do that...

    Restarted xbox screen went black and never restarted so I unplugged...

    Are you using an external drive? Have you tried unplugging it and re-plugging it in? maybe is a trouble with the hard drives, inside or external.

    Game Won’t Download

    It's possible that the file on your external hard drive is corrupted which means that you may have trouble moving it. You may need to reformat the external hard drive in this case.

    I am having trouble with my external hard drive on my xbox one and ever since that new update my xbox one wont recognize that my external hard drive is plugged in I have tried the trouble shooting steps and nothing seems to work and my external hard drive

    External Hard Drive Troubles!!!!

    Have you tried plugging the device into the computer? That might help determine if there is an issue with the device itself. I have a similar issue now where my xbox will not detect my device at all but the power light is solid for me and my computer says
    that it is working fine.
