Trouble with downloading Gold games

I recently purchased Witcher 2 (for free) because I have Gold. But every time I try to download it, it stops and says it cant be downloaded. Is this an issue on xbox's behalf? I tried doing it to 2 different consoles and nothing worked.

Hey there Pickin,

I'm sorry to say but Oman is not on our list of
Live Supported Regions.

Most likely the reason you were able to get games to download is your account still being in your previous region. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee any Live experience outside of our Support Regions and many games with region locks will not allow you to download
when there is a discrepancy between your physical locaiton and the region you are attempting to download from.

It is best to use your actual region when using accounts

this goes for all consoles including ps4

Hate to break it to you but region locks are enforced by international laws

games like gta 5 are region locked because of that reason this info is available on any wiki on region locks

region locks and international laws are not new

you should be used to it by now

There may be many reasons the first thing I would do is go to your HDD and delete the partial DL as it is probably disrupting your dl. After you delete it, since you are there, check your entire games and apps list for corrupt content, check the profile
page as well , clear cache x 3 and then powercycle ( turn off console with the button on the console remove the power cord for a full minute ) turn it back on like normal and try the DL again

Also does your account region match your actual region?80% of problems downloading occur because of mismatched regions

Thanks for answering. I've tested the geoip and there is no problem, it's my ISP and my region.

Actually, I downloaded Might and Magic without any problem so how is it possible to succeed downloading a game with gold but not another? My console is a gift and I don't think I'll buy a new one if the Xbox one is almost there

Your region migration is likely the issue actually. While you may have changed to the new region, this is something that only affects the account and not the console itself.

For the best online experience we recommend purchasing a console from the region that you intend to use it in, as this sort of mismatch can cause troubles purchasing and playing content. I wish that I had better news for you here, but we would recommend
looking into purchasing a console from your own region.

It says I'm in Belgium, where I am. So do you have any idea how to solve this problem? I would really like to play this game..

Have you checked your ip at speedtest.net

if the geoip doesnt reflect your actual region it will show there
