Trouble with backwards compatible game

I'm having the same trouble concerning the connection to Xbox Live whenever launching any backwards compatible game.

I can't, it says that it's not connected to the internet. My xbox one is connected to the internet but when I try to play a 360 game on the xbox one it says that it can't connect to the internet.

Try bringing up the Xbox 360 guide, and select connect to Xbox Live, sometimes connecting to it manually works. If not, then try re-downloading your profile, again you can do that by bringing up the guide, and re-download your profile from there.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for advice on how to hopefully get you to connect to and play Borderlands 2.

I can totally understand how getting an error like this preventing you from playing the game when you know your network connection is okay could be concerning.

I would say that if you haven't you might want to a soft reset of the console to try and rectify this problem.

It's a factory reset that is recommended for many different problems as it's less invasive and does not uninstall any of your games/apps. Just make sure that your network statistics are good and that you know all the sign in info for any account on your
console (as they will have to be redownloaded later) so that it goes by smoothly.

When you get a chance, try the reset as outlined in How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One, choose the option denoted Reset
and keep my games & apps, and let us know how that helped.
