    Trouble with 5.1 theatre system.


    HI guys.

    I bought a 5.1 samsung blu ray home theatre system today and I was recently only told after I bought it that it need an AV receiver to make it work. Has anybody been able to make it work without an AV receiver? help would be much obliged.

    xb1 dead rising 3 bad in game sound

    ty garrett changed xb1 settings to stero only instead of 5.1, fixed it ), def better get a av/optical adaptor to use av 5.1 surround speakers or buy home theatre amp for tru dig 5.1+

    I don't think the sounds are that bad, it could be because I am using true 5.1 headphones, or a true 5.1 surround system, but I have no trouble locating people by sounds.

    Also, I've heard that the sound on the Vizios are kind of bad. This isn't an issue for me though as I will be using the 5.1 from the STB to the home theatre. Thanks for the replies everyone. I still haven't made a final decision yet.

    Simulated Atmos from XBOX One S?

    You absolutely should be able to use Dolby Atmos for Home Theatre with a 5.1 or 7.1 setup. If you want to use it on headphones you’ll have to purchase the add on in the app for $14.99

    The main issue is getting streaming services and games that have support for it which not all do.
