    Trouble Streaming to Windows 10


    I have done this many times and it has worked but now I cant see any video streaming. I can hear the sounds when I move on my controller so I know I am connected to the Xbox but no video is being streamed on my Xbox Windows 10 app. Any help?

    Trouble Streaming from my xbox to windows 10

    After the recent update that changed the xbox one dashboard I am no longer able to stream my xbox to windows 10. I believe this update is a part of the xbox preview program, so it could just be a glitch caused by the update. Does anybody know a solution
    to this issue though?

    Streaming to windows 10

    Three year old 13" MacBook Air (1.8 GHz Core i5, 4 GB, 128 GB SSD) with Windows 10 Home (not virtual). Streaming worked great. I played Dying Light for an hour tonight with no lag Or connection issues. Appreciate this functionality so I can play in different
    areas of the house.

    The only bug I have encountered is that is my controller will not move up and down the main Dying Light menu if I move it down past "Continue". Seems to lock up a bit. I have to use the XBOX home button and start another game and then come back to Dying
    Light to "Continue" my game.

    The MacBook is wifi only while the XBOX One is on a Ethernet cable. The MacBook Air worked much better than my 2014 Dell Inspiron 15" 7000 laptop (Core i7 2.00 GHz, 8 GB ram and a 1 TB hard drive). The Dell disconnected from my XBOX gaming session after
    10 minutes (from the same location in my house). For some reason the MacBook on Windows just does gaming better. It streams the PC version of MineCraft for my son with no lag whereas the Dell lags MacBook also streams some Steam games better for me (e.g.,
    Styx: Master of Shadows if you are familiar with it).

    Is this still an issue for you?

    If it is, could you try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) the Xbox One console? If still not working, uninstall and reinstall the Xbox App on Windows
    10.

    Why is there an xbox companion app and an xbox app for PC? Just put all the features in one app.

    Hello amramlinebarger, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

    The Xbox Console Companion app is mainly for Windows 10 and allows you to stream your Xbox One to One X consoles on Windows 10. This app does not work with the Series X/S consoles though and the Xbox app is recommended for streaming to your PC if you're running Windows 11.

    If you are running Windows 11 the only way we'd ask you to try installing the app is if you were having trouble with your Xbox games just to see if that would help.

    Lack of Windows Media Player in Windows 10 causing problems

    Hey there, Esdamion77! Windows Media Player is still supported on Windows 10, so you should have no trouble streaming from it.

    Are you possibly talking about Windows Media Center? These applications are different, and you will want to do a search for Windows Media Player on your PC or in the Store so that you can stream your media. You will just want to make sure you "Turn on media
    streaming..." under Stream when you launch the app. :)

    XBOX 360 and Game Streaming

    Are you trying to stream a game from Xbox 360 to Windows 10? That's not supported - the media center of old was for streaming videos and songs.

    There is a way to stream Xbox 360 games to Windows 10, but it involved using an Xbox One and playing the backwards compatible Xbox 360 on the Xbox 360, then streaming the Xbox One to Windows 10.
