Trouble starting a digitally downloaded game

update: my apologies, just learned that games get removed from the game pass as well. thanks to all of you anyway for the assistance.

If you are sure that you are signed into the account that purchased the game.

And you were not game sharing the game with anyone else that means that the system is not finding the license for the game for any account that is either currently signed in or has your Xbox set as its home Xbox.

This can happen if for some reason the license was taken away from the account.

This can happen if for some reason the game was refunded or the order for the game was cancelled.

With that being said you will want to check the status of your order by going to your order history at account.microsoft.com and signing into your account.

Once you find your order for the game there you will want to make sure that the order status still shows as complete. If it shows anything else. (cancelled, refunded, chargeback) that means that the license was taken away from your account for that game
and should have been refunded back to whatever payment option you made the purchase with.

didn't work, the error code is 0x82D40007 and I've tried all the options in that help section already. this happened with knight squad a couple days ago too and i tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it vanished from my games & apps (both of these games
i got from games with gold)

Sorry to hear it. Did you purchase the game on your account or were you game sharing? If you were game sharing you'll need to make sure the owner of the game is either logged in while you play or set as Home on the console.

If you purchased the game on your account then please try powercycling your console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down to see if that helps.
