Trouble signing up for xbox live

I just purchased an xbox gold membership, and I have no trouble signing into my Microsoft and Xbox accounts from my PC. However, when I try to sign up from my xbox 360 console, I get the following message: "The email address or password you entered didn't
work. Try a different one, or use your app password if you set up two-step verification."

The email address and password that I am using are the same ones I use to sign into my Microsoft and Xbox accounts. They work on the PC, but not on the xbox 360. What am I doing wrong?

I believe what's going on is that you have Two Step verification setup for your account. What you're going to need to do, is create an app password to use in place of your actual password on the Xbox 360. Take a look over the following link for the information
