Trouble Signing into Xbox Live Account on New Console

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a new console and I'm having trouble signing into my Xbox Live account. Each time I try, I receive an error message indicating that my credentials might be incorrect, but I'm certain they are the right ones. I've already attempted to reset my password, and I'm still experiencing the same issue.

Is there anyone who has faced a similar problem or knows how to resolve this? I've double-checked my internet connection and ensured the console's software is up-to-date. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I understand that you want to sign into your newly purchased Xbox.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Now that you have already changed your password please proceed with turning on your two step verification.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com>; Security> Two-step verification> Turn on.

When it is already on, please try to sign into the Xbox.

If incase it won't work, kindly turn off the Xbox.

Unplug all the cables connected to it.

Leave it for 2 minutes. Plug in all cables back.

Turn on your Xbox.

Once it is On, before you sign into the Xbox turn off the two-step verification first.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com>; Security> Two-step verification> Turn off.

Kindly try to sign in now afterwards.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Xbox Live account! To clarify, are you creating a fresh account or are you trying to sign in? If you're making a new account, are you able to create a new Microsoft Account to associate with it?

As long as you are signed into the account that bought it, you should have no trouble. If you're not, that account would need to set the new console as its Home console.

Try changing the password to the account you are having trouble with. Then sign out of the account, shut down the Xbox and then signing back in with the new password.
