trouble signing in

ok so when i created the xbox accounts ages ago i made my son have a kids account and it all worked fine for about 1 and a half years but recently its not letting him sign in and says go and have your parent sign in at xbox.com so i do and it says i have
to pay 50 cents for him to go back online. i do NOT want to do this as i dont want my credit card details stolen is there any other way for him to get his account back without me paying

unfortunately this is the only way you are able to allow your son to play online. however the cc will not be kept on the accnt it is just to verify that you are an adult, since only adults are allowed to have cc. and the 50cents well they go to charity so
not even xbox keeps it lol.

its via wireless and their are no codes. i tested the connection and it was good to go but when i try to connect it just says "can't connect to Xbox LIVE. Select Test Connection to troubleshoot, or try downloading your profile again.

Hey there, I suggest you give this method a try.

Delete your profile (profile ONLY as opposed to profile and items, when prompted)
Clear your system cache 3 times
Re-download your profile

Instructions to do those are linked in each step. Let us know if that works for you!

If not, try resetting your password and trying again after those three steps.
