  1. Trouble recognizing TV HDMI signal AFTER changing inputs.

I dont' have that much trouble getting the TV back on after Xbone goes into standby mode .....usually just takes a few seconds.

However, I am having an issue when I change the input on my TV to component (to play my 360) for whatever reason when i switch back to my primary HDMI slot which has the Xboxone on it (with TV passing through) the signal has been lost (even if it was not
enough time to go into standby mode). it does it immediately. Like if I was just watching TV then flipped over to play 360 for a bit and then right back to the XboxOne (which should still be on TV) it has lost signal and I usually can't get it right back on.
I have to "fiddle" with my DirecTV remote or turn the receiver off and back on. Any suggestions on what is causing this?

I am considering just running TV back separately through a different HDMi (though this will be a pain for me) because I only have on HDMI port available......the others were fried up in a lightning storm.

    :)

    TV playback colour

So if you unplug the HDMI input from the back of your XBox One and plug it into your TV it looks fine and then when you go through the Xbox it changes the look of the picture. Everything I have read said there is no processing done to the TV signal. Does the signal when you are playing a game look green as well or is it just the TV signal? Have you tried hooking up a Bluray player with HDMI to the TV input on the Xbox to see if that looks green as well? That could at least eliminate your cable box as the issue.

We've lost your TV signal - November update

If I switch an app to TV from another app it will sometimes give the 'we've lost your TV signal - but within 5 seconds the TV signal will come on. Now - in the past week I've had two instances of after watching Netflix and then going to LiveTV I've had the
'we've lost your TV signal' message stay on. I was able to recover by unplugging the XB1 power and replugging it in to do a hard boot up again. I have a DirecTV DVR HDMI output that goes to a 1 to 2 HDMI splitter and then one leg of the splitter goes directly
to an A/V receiver HDMI input and the other leg of the splitter goes to the HDMI input of the XBOX (and the HDMI output of the XBOX goes to a different A/V HDMI receiver input). Whenever I have trouble with the XB1 TV path - I just switch to the other A/V
receiver input (that bypasses the XB1 through the other splitter leg. It was a $30 splitter that works around this XB1 TV issue with a simple push of my receiver input select button.

    Hey Feral Boar,

This is a known issue that can happen from time to time. Until we get the software fix ironed out, the best solution is to try one of the following things:

    1) Go home with the TV app in the big tile, hit menu, then quit, then re-load the app

    2) Power cycle the STB by pulling the power cord

    3) Power cycle the Xbox One by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.

    Dual screen

    Hi!

The console doesn't support dual screen (or multiple outputs). It's a TV setting that changes the HDMI input signal.

HDMI throughport for TVs with Game Mode

Not sure I explained it clearly enough. My TV has 3 HDMI inputs, all of which can be configured for PC, Game Mode, TV etc etc. The Game Mode makes the XBOX input fill the screen and overall looks better than say in TV mode. So if the input from the XBOX
One is set to Game Mode, then I switched the XBOX One to throughput the TV signal, then I would be watching the preset HDMI in Game Mode even though I was watching a TV/Tivo channel, if that makes sense.

    .

    So to recap

    .

My TV has one HDMI port set to TV input and another one set to Game Mode input, and I simply change the input depending on wether it is a game I want to play or a TV channel to watch.

    .

But if one HDMI input is being used by both XBOX One and a TV signal input, then the TV's HDMI port setting will only default to the one I set it to in the first place

    .

So it is the TV that determines what display I will get regardless of what signal the XBOX One sends.

    .

If that doesn't confuse you then nothing will, already getting a headache just re-reading it

    HDMI out to TV

I would suggest using cable provided with unit and also run it to another unused hdmi input. I had issue yesterday on my tv where it recognized xbox one but not 360 using same input would display blank, no signal message. It makes me think there is more
than to the hdmi connection than the older component connections. Just a suggestion .
