Trouble reading discs on Xbox One X

Since November 2019, my Xbox One X has experienced intermittent issues with reading blu-ray discs and game discs. It will usually say the disc is damaged or dirty in this case. Sometimes re-inserting the disc would solve the issue. Other times a reboot
of the console would be necessary. More recently, factory resetting would work. When resetting or rebooting, the disc would be left in. Today I was attempting to install Red Dead Redemption 2. I repeatedly encountered this issue. None of the above options
worked. The one thing that did end up working was putting another game disc in (which loaded perfectly the first time) and then putting the RDR2 disc that was having issues back in. It now worked perfectly. It would seem that the Xbox OS software or firmware
is having issues. It is getting quite frustrating. Please patch this issue ASAP!

Sorry to hear you are having issues, the How to troubleshoot problems playing a disc on your Xbox
One may be useful. You may have tried many of the solutions listed but may be worth taking a gander. I understand you believe this to be an OS or firmware issue, have you considered it could be a hardware issue with the disc drive? If this is the case,
might be worth considering getting your xbox serviced or sent in for repair via the Device service and replacement service.

Try performing a hard reset by pressing the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts off completely. Then unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.

My Xbox One X is over a year old and I have not yet encountered any such issues. May be experiencing system file corruption or the start of hardware failure> Maybe just wasnt lucky in the Silicone Lottery. Sorry bud.

It sounds like your drive is in the process of failure, you need to contact support for a repair

The Xbox series X will not read the MW2 disc, I have returned it and tried 3 separate copies of the MW2 disc, the console will play other games/discs and read dvds/blue rays as well. But will not read any MW2 disc I insert into the console. The disc will read on my Xbox one. I installed it there and network transferred all the data to the series X and upgraded all the data that was transferred but the console refuses to read the MW2 disc.
