    Trouble launching games via Xbox app


    Everytime I try to launch Yakuza Kiwami, or try to connect online with Grounded, the login box pops up as if it's going to ask for permission to log in, but then it immediately closes and says "Unable to connect to XBOX Live. Try again". No matter what I
    do I can't seem to connect. It says on my actual app that I'm signed in and online. I've gone to registry and made sure the Xbox services are running. Any help would be much appreciated

    EDIT : I fixed it by installing the XBOX Indentity Provider App.

    Sadly these steps didn't help. Here is what I tried, but maybe I missed something:

    - Repaired Xbox App via Control Panel

    - Repaired Wolfenstein II via Control Panel

    - Tried launching Wolfenstein II as Admin

    - Tried launching Xbox App as Admin

    - Tried launching it via Start Menu

    - Tried launching it via Xbox App

    - Tried launching via Microsoft Store

    - Reinstalled the game

    Is there anything I missed, or anything else I could try?

    you should be able to launch the game via the Xbox (beta) app itself via the Installed Games section within the app.

    Hi, you said launch the game via the xbox app & also tried it with microsoft store, have you launch it simply via the windows start
    menu? I had a similar problem with the Xbox app (there are two updates of that) and it allowed me to launch the game I was on at the moment.

    Starting XBOX app on PC will automatically start the EA app as well

    Hi,

    EA games have to be launched directly via the EA in order to play them. If you launch them on the Xbox App, the EA app will need to run as well to launch the game. This is standard practice with PC launchers.

    For example I own Mass Effect purchased via Steam. But, even if I launch it with Steam, it still loads the EA app. In which case I just launch it from the EA app instead.

    yea I know. When I start a Ubisoft game via steam, the Ubisoft launcher starts. It does not start automatically the moment I start steam.

    However, for the XBOX app the EA launcher will start as soon as I start the xbox app, not once I start an EA game.

    Right now I don't even have an EA game installed (not via xbox, not outside of it). The EA app only starts if I open the XBOX app.
