Trouble Installing Minecraft for Windows

So, let's try this, first, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Then, try to uninstall and install the Xbox app.

If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command, then you're going to open the gamepass app, it will ask you to download and install the game services again :

In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

If neither of those procedures works, try to restore your PC's OS via the ISO image tool, using that tool you will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

Please try to use the System File Checker and DISM to repair broken, corrupted or missing system files and the Disk Checker to see if there is no errors on your storage drive. Go to Start > Search for Command Prompt > Right Click > Run as Administrator. Run one command at a time:

chkdsk /r /f

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Chkdsk may ask you to restart your computer in order to be able to run. If that's the case, please restart your computer when you can and it will run before Windows starts.

After that, please Reset the Microsoft store and the Xbox app. Also, clear some temporary files:

- Delete the folders "GamingServices", "GamingServices.net" (if they're still there).

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox App > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

- Press Windows + R. Type TEMP and press enter. Delete all the files inside this folder. Repeat this step by typing %TEMP% and Prefetch. Delete everything on both folders too.

- Restart your computer one more time. Sign in on the Microsoft store with your Microsoft account. Please also sign in to the Xbox app with the same account.

- Check your computer region/country and language and please make sure it is the same as your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com/profile). Also check your time zone and date/time is correct.

- Go to Start > Type services > Open it. Find all Xbox services (Xbox accessory management service, Live auth manager, Live game save, Live networking service, Gaming services). Right click > Properties> Set the startup type to Automatic. Also start them.

Please try to install Minecraft from the Xbox app. If it fails, please try from the Microsoft store. Feel free to ask back any questions and please let me know how it goes.

I have tried everything you have said to do except for the last one about the ISO image tool, I am a bit confused on how this works and what I am meant to do with it. Also was wondering, does this remove all of my installed stuff?

Edit: Forgot to mention that when I now go on the Microsoft Store it now says "play" instead of install, which when I click on it comes up with the error "File System Error (12007)" and on the Xbox App I go to install the game and it still comes up with the same error as before

So the ISO Image tool, is a tool that you download to restore your PC's OS, and not necessarily, within the tool, you have an option to keep your games and files.
