trouble installing minecraft for windows 10 on Microsft Store App

So last night I downloaded the windows 10 edition for Minecraft off of the Microsoft store because one of my Xbox friends has a realm. When I launched the game, it launched on an old version, I think 1.12 was the version, and my friend was one version 1.14.
I couldn't figure out how to change the version, so I just deleted the game to try and reinstall it. Now I cant even download it again. When I press install on the Microsoft store app it says "Minecraft for Windows 10 does not work on this device." I've looked
up every fix I could find, and none of them worked.

Of course. Why not.

The Xbox app Game Pass App is going to come pre-installed on Windows 11, and Microsft want users to connect their controllers trouble free to the new OS.

The biggest issue would be to check if your PC is compatible for Windows 11, not your controllers.

In any event, Win 11 won't suddenly make Win 10 obsolete.

My bad i tougjt it was called minecraft windows 10. I actually meant microsft minecraft on the xbox

Found it. It's Minecraft for Windows 10 Starter Collection. On your Microsoft Store App please search for the game and then try to install it from there.

Heya,

The Xbox App has the store integrated into it. Minecraft Dungeons is currently on gamepass which would explain why you get sent to the Xbox App.

If you're having trouble downloading on Windows 10 you can access the store via a internet browser.
