    So i downloaded insider and joined the minecraft beta and it never showed the new version on minecraft. I tried reinstalling the game and forcing a download but no luck

    If he or she has an older version of Minecraft or if your Minecraft is on an old version then you will have trouble connecting to the gamer. It can also not allow you to connect to the player if you are in the Beta Minecraft.

    If you have xbox insider, check if you have entered the minecraft beta programm, if you, get out of the beta and reinstal minecraft

    Minecraft Beta Unrollment Troubles

    There is currently an issue with the BETA. It installs for gamers that haven't signed up for the beta.

    Mojang is aware of the issue and is looking into it. They advise that you should NOT open any of your worlds until the issue has been resolved.

    I have to go check if mine also installed the BETA.
