Trouble downloading Destiny: Rise Of Iron, while owning Destiny: The Taken King on disc

As the title says, I own a hard copy of Destiny: the Taken King, but I pre-ordered Destiny: Rise of Iron trough Gamestop. I was given a code, and upon redeeming this afternoon, it gave me $34.00 for the Xbox Store. I went to buy Destiny: Rise of Iron, but
it is only available through the $60.00 collection. I have hard reset my Xbox One multiple times, and tried following the link through Destiny's Director, but I get a Failed Query every time.

How Do I fix This?

Destiny Rise of Iron "only available as part of a bundle" (I purchased The Taken King)

I'm trying to purchase Destiny: Rise of Iron, but can't. I know Taken King is a pre-req, so I checked and sure enough, I have an option to buy The Taken King, despite owning it. I bought it in October 2015 digitally on the Xbox One as a Destiny: The Taken
King Legendary Edition (I have an e-mailed receipt from 10/3 and a record in my purchase history).

Can I be credited $20 to "purchase" The Taken King (that I already own) so I can buy Rise of Iron? Can some sort of ownership flag be set since I already bought this content? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

When you bought your physical copy of The Taken King, there should have been a 5x5 code in the case that would grant you a digital license to the game. Double check your game's case and if/when you find that, redeem it. Once you redeem that you should be
able to purchase the expansion at the upgrade price.

I originally had bought Destiny: The Taken King Legendary edition when it released on Xbox 360. I then upgraded to Xbox One, and I bought a pre owned copy of Destiny: the taken King Legendary Edition. It did not come with a code. My original Xbox 360 copy
did, and i redeemed it then. I still am unable to buy the new expansion.

If you bought a pre-owned copy of The Taken King, odds are that the code was redeemed by the initial owner. Unfortunately that means you will have to purchase Destiny: The Collection in order to access and play Rise of Iron.
