  1. Trouble Connecting Xbox Controller to Windows 11 via Bluetooth

    Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue trying to connect my Xbox controller to my Windows 11 PC using Bluetooth. I've followed the standard procedure by going to 'Settings' > 'Devices' > 'Bluetooth & other devices' and ensuring Bluetooth is turned on. However, each time I put the Xbox controller into pairing mode, my PC fails to detect it, or it shows up as 'Unknown Device'.

I have made sure that my Windows 11 is up to date and have also checked for any updates for the Bluetooth driver. Unfortunately, these steps haven't resolved the issue. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem or could provide any troubleshooting tips?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

    :)

Is your windows 10 or 11?

Try deleting your controller in windows, and then connecting via bluetooth again.

Trouble Connecting Xbox Controller to Windows 11 via Bluetooth

    Hi Edward,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues connecting your controller to your PC wirelessly via Bluetooth. Did you update your controller's firmware prior this issue? If not, please make sure that your controller has the latest firmware updates.

Connect the controller directly to your console or Windows device using a USB-C cable (or USB to micro-USB cable for Xbox One controllers).

If the controller works properly with a cable connection, continue to the next step.

On a Windows PC, you can do this by installing the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store, and then connecting the controller while the app is open.

Here's the step-by-step instructions on how you could connect your controller to your Windows PC via Bluetooth:

    1. Turn on your controller by pressing the Xbox button for 3 seconds. When you turn on the controller, the Xbox button will start flashing.

    2. Press and hold the Pair button on the top of the controller (the raised button). The Xbox button on the controller will flash more rapidly—this means your controller is searching for a PC.

    3. On your PC, press the Start button, then select Settings > Devices (on Windows 11: Settings > Bluetooth & devices).

    4. Choose Add Bluetooth or other device (on Windows 11: Add device), then select Everything else.

    5. Choose Xbox Wireless Controller or Xbox Elite Wireless Controller from the list. When connected, the Xbox button on the controller will stay lit.

    Regards,

    Alvaro

    XB1 to PC switch

    Hi,

Yes! You can easily use the Xbox One controller on Windows 10. The drivers should automatically be installed for you. Depending if you have the new Xbox One bluetooth controller, you can connect via Bluetooth on your PC (Settings>Devices). Otherwise, you
can connect via USB or with the wireless adapter if you have one.

If you have any trouble, I would suggest you take a look at this guide here: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/accessories/connect-xbox-one-controller-to-pc
