Trouble Connecting With One Friend

My friend and I have had ongoing issues when trying to play games with one another. Both of our NAT types are open, have good upload and download speeds, and have no trouble playing with others. The trouble arises when we try and directly join the other.

When playing Rocket League, we can't connect directly to each other. We are able to play the game together just fine as long as we have another friend be the party leader. But again, can't connect directly to each other.

When attempting to play Payday 2, it kicks him out after a short amount of time. When he is in the game, we can't see the other one move. Again, we have to have a different friend host the game to even get that far.

We have put our consoles in the DMZ, along with port forwarding, everything. This problem has been plaguing us for months and any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Digiorno88! OK, quick question. Is he the only one you have trouble connecting to? And are you the only one he has trouble connecting to? Or does one of you see this with several friends?

Super odd issue you two are experiencing. Since this began, have either you attempted connecting from a different internet connection to help narrow this down? Also, if you haven't already be sure to reset both of your network settings and run through that
setup again to see if there might be something in place inhibiting your connection.
