Trouble connecting to Xbox Live

I don't know how long it's been going on for, or if this issue has even been addressed, but today when I've tried logging on to Xbox Live and was unable to do so. I was able to log into Xbox Live without experiencing any issues last week, but now I'm facing
issues. It says that I have an "Internet connection issue" and that I need to reset my router, which I've done multiple times. Just a few minutes ago I was able to connect to Xbox Live and stay connected until I tried to do something, which disconnected me.
My internet router is working just fine, so I'm not sure where the issue is.

same thing guys i was just on not even 20 mins ago playing advanced warfare next thing i knew i was disconected and cant connect back reset my router maybe 10 times i know it isnt me wtf

 

I haven't been able to connect at all for a week now.

 

I have found the same thing with box my Xbox 360's this morning.

My step son downloaded a DLC pack last night which wouldn't work... So we left it and tried again this morning and now neither xboxes will connent to the Internet, I have tried on wireless and wired. I have checked the router settings and there is no issue
and nothing has changed yet suddenly I cannot connect??

Any help out there ??

 

Same thing here. Connection to xb-live dropped last friday night (2nd Jan) in the middle of a youtube video and connecting (wired) has failed every time since then.

The dashboard network test fails at the internet stage. The connected router is working fine and every other device connected has no problem at all accessing the internet. In my router's log I can even see the xbox 360 being allowed access to xbox live web
addresses.

I've cleared the xbox cache multiple times and tried gamertags on two different hard drives. I'm pretty sure this is either an xbox live problem or my ISP's (Virgin Media).

 

same story here ... very frustating to pay for subscriptions, amazing games and adds-on without being able to enjoy them

 

I've got in contact with Xbox Support to see if there's any issues/service alerts!

 

I've been having this problem too. It started happening a few days ago. It disconnects suddenly and then I can't connect to xbox live. After a few minutes it comes back up. It is very annoying especially when gaming online.

 

did you try deleting the updates

 

I've also had this problem. I've gone through my router settings and allowed my xbox to join my network. All other devices work perfectly fine with no issues. This problem has been happening to me quite often and I'm not sure how to fix it. I've reset my
router, tried wireless and wired, port forwarding, etc.... nothing works. I'm curious if because my router is an "N" router and I'm using a "G" network adapter that it doesn't communicate. But that wouldn't make sense for my xbox to continue to not work if
I have it hard wired?

 

I have the same problem- My xbox 360 automatically notifies me of an update that is requiredon start up or I will not be able to connect to xbox live - I can connect to the internet but not xbox live- I have a second xbox and it connects to live and updates
with no problem- I have tried the USB and dvd update option (and yes Fat32 checked and triple checked) but the USB and DVD options do not automatically update and nothing happens,

All the threads on this so far end up being locked with no resolution- our an administrator suggests the USB / DVD update mentioning the fat32 format - which is useless information if you have already done this and like many who have the problem are well
aware of the fat32 format requirement, I have reset and formatted my xbox numerous times- I have reset my router/modem, and again my second xbox has no problems connecting and updating, the error code isn't recognised by any xbox support tools or support staff,
really disappointing that the xbox can not be reset to remove the bug in the hard drive that is causing this, and yes I have formatted the drive and deleted the cache, I have tried the USB and DVD updates several times exactly as instructed. this issue is
common and on the increase, only solution currently is to throw the xbox away and buy a new one

 

There are MANY other solutions but my first question to you, Xelanariek is when you were doing the manual update did you try removing the old update (press LB RB X LB RB X on the controller (the blue X) You will be prompted to delete the system update.
Do so.

If so please try doing these steps next: Delete update as described above. Console will reboot. After reboot, *STOP*. Do NOT install the update yet. Skip sign in, go to storage again, clear cache 3x and reboot. Now install the system update when prompted.

 

It's not on the console side, it's on XBOX live's side. I've logged back on 5 times in the last 45 minutes. I did not need to do any of the craziness you suggested just waited and tried again.

I really wish Microsoft would be more specific about their live services being down, maybe they don't want the bad publicity. They should still have a limited service tag on online gaming right now though.
