    Trouble connecting to party


    Hi, I got Xbox on Windows to join my friend's parties. However, when I try to join I get disconnected with a message saying "Your network settings are blocking this chat [0x89231806]".

    Can someone please help me with this? I would really appreciate help.

    Cannot connect to friends party and vice versa.

    I'm having trouble connecting to my friend's party and he's having trouble connecting to mine. Our NATs are open and everything.

    April Update Available for everyone, but missing two features

    If someone is having trouble connecting to a party for some random reason, the party chat will automatically switch over to a dedicated server so that everyone can connect without issue.

    I haven't had any trouble connecting to my friends in party chat; of course I still have to go and turn it on once I connect but no major issues so far.

    Here is a trouble guide for connecting to the party.

    Usually has to do with NAT problems, but other items have been known to happen.

    You could try restarting your network equipment also to see if that fixes the problem.

    Odd that you're not able to join any parties. If you start a party are you able to invite people to your party instead? Have you made sure that the friends you're attempting to connect with also have an open NAT? Anything other than open can cause trouble.

    This trouble shooter does not work i have tried it. Gone as far as factory resetting my xbox and still no fixes. Even the xbox app is having issues with connecting to parties.

    I am having trouble too. I can not connect to my British friends unless we piggy back on someone else's party, and we have been getting kicked from games. Internet connection is running great according to speedtest.com
