    Buying backward compatible games

    If you buy one of those Xbox cards coming in various denominations ala apple or Google play, you can purchase Xbox one games on your Xbox one WITHOUT a credit card. BUT if you buy an Xbox 360 game on the Xbox one you CANNOT use the Xbox cards you have to
    use a credit card. Why?

    glad they added the games to the store but doesn't let me buy using points still asks for a credit card,is there a way to set it up to use points.

    removing your profile     (please ensure you remember your account email and password before doing this step),

    power cycling     your Xbox One console and router/modem and then signing back in. Did that solve the issue?

    Are you trying to buy One games or backwards compatible games? The Microsoft account balance cannot be used to purchase backwards compatible content on the One.
