    Tron Evolution game disc is not working on Xbox One


    My son and I have eagerly been waiting for the Xbox One backwards compatibility to come out so we can start playing some of our favorites from the 360 on the Xbox One.

    Unfortunately, the list of titles is still very limited so only one out of the many 360 games we have is on the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. This game is Tron Evolution.

    Today, November 20th, we tried putting the Tron Evolution game disc in the Xbox One and got an error that it could not be read. We checked to make sure the disc wasn't dirty or scratched and tried again with the same results.

    We then hooked up the old 360 and tried the disc there to make sure there wasn't some unseen defect in the disc causing an issue reading the disc, but sure enough the Tron Evolution disc fired up in the 360 without a problem.

    Why is Tron Evolution on the backwards compatibility list if I cannot simply put the disc in the Xbox One to get it to work? Am I doing something wrong? Were these titles tried out on an Xbox One before they were released as backwards compatible?

    Any help here is appreciated. Again, we have been looking forward to this feature and although disappointed the list of titles is still very limited, hope this list will expand and that the games will actually work on Xbox One.

    Tron evolution disc not working for backward compatability.

    I just wanted to let the support team know that the tron evolution game disc isnt working for backward compatability. I experienced this problem on 2/11/2016 around 9:30 pm. It had worked fine prior till that point.

    Tron: Evolution was listed for free on Xbox Games with Gold but when I downloaded it, it charged me. I was definitely not planning on paying for this game.

    I am sorry you are having this problem when trying to play the game on the Xbox One.

    Can you verify that your Xbox One has been updated to the latest update for The New Xbox One Experience as that is what contains backwards compatibility. To check for an update please go to Settings>System>Update console (If there is an update ready you'll
    see update console).

    I thought the updates were automatic and haven't gone in to check this yet. I'll do that tonight to see if it clears the issue. Will post back here with the results.
