    Tried to update early to the skip ahead new experience today - console stuck


    I think I jumped the gun so to speak. I rebooted my xbox one x a few times to try to get the screen that shows you are going to get the update. I didn't see it and went to the gear icon within the console itself and did a manual "update console". The screen where it has the 3 steps to updating it stuck at the first part. It says, "Updating Hold on while we update your Xbox." It says at the bottom where the progress bars are located, "Updating Console" but nothing is happening. I can't restart the xbox as it says "your console will restart during the update." How should I fix it? Hopefully I didn't brick the console!

    Well if he's in the insider programn then he got a update today had the same issue the alpha & apha skip ahead builds are broken for 50% of the people that are ih that group so don't update your console if you're in alpha or alpha skip ahead

    Im also having the same issue as well, the new xbox prieview skip ahead update 1810 corrupted my update now it's stuck in an update loop I've also reached out to Xbox support on Xbox and still haven't herd back

    Okay please read the whole paragraph before reply, this issue is very funky and specific.

    Today, July 15, New Xbox Preview Alpha Skip Ahead update fixes the issue with transfer content to external HDD. Hope this is finally what we’re waitinf for to answer our dilemma.
