Tried to get on my xbox for the first time about 2hrs ago was greeted with a E200 00000074 ...

Only help I get is telling me to download the OSU 1 zipfile to a usb then upload it to my xbox but the download time is like 7 hrs and that is just craptastic. Is there any other way besides factory reset. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm getting the same thing but E200 00000074 00000000 and there is no information anywhere about it! Tried restarting numerous times.

Powering on my XBOX One for the first time and get the following error code. I first see the XBOX ONE splash screen followed by a screen with the error code (E200 00000074 00000000) and to contact Customer Support or go to www.xbox.com/support.

Any ideas what may be wrong? This is a new XBOX One and powering it on for the first time.

I assume you have tried the steps for E200 on this trouble shooting page, it has all the steps to try regarding this error code:

Since you mentioned a download time of 7 hours (which seems a bit long, but could be your connection speed), I suggest to try and see what happens when the console is not connected to the internet.

I just wanted to share just in case someone does run into this error the E200 which usually will happen when Microsoft does a update that some machines for some reason doesnt take!!!!! Best advice to give you is to just revert back to factory settings...
where you get the option to keep all your games/apps/friends and everything else. The only downside to reverting to factory is that you have to re-enter your gamertag/password, internet id/password. and a few other stupid things that takes you maybe 20min
to do vs... what Xbox suggests which is to put update onto flashdrive (provided you have one with at least 4g free and you have a working computer... ow btw you have to format it proper and have nothing else on it. Then sit thru a (what was for me) 2 1/2 hour
download. Then put onto flash drive and install onto your xbox, and if your luckier then I was... it will actually work for you. This all btw took me from 1045pm-112am... Vs. like I said before 20min worth of just re-entering a few things. Common sense Microsoft!!!!,
why they didnt just suggest me to do that. By the way they could have also told me I could keep all my information doing it that way, it would have made the decision to just revert a hell of alot easier and I wouldn't have wasted a entire night... I don't
