Tried everything and still can’t connect to xbox live

Is this a brand new console or a used console? If it is a used console that you just purchased recently it is possible it has been permanently banned from XBL due to the previous owners actions. If that is the case then you will need to take the
issue up with the previous owner or the shop that sold it to you. Once a console is permanently banned from XBL it is not reversed.




Instead of connecting your console to the router, connect it directly to the modem. Before you do be sure to power down the modem and the console. Then connect them and power up the modem first, give it a minute to boot up fully and then power up
your console. Now try connecting to XBL. What is the result?



What model and make modem do you have? What make and model router do you have? Who is your ISP?

Sometimes you need to open up the ports up on your router AND your modem. I had a similar issue myself about 2 years ago. Once I opened up the required ports on both, full connectivity returned.

I’ve just tried this and it hasn’t worked. I still can’t connect to xbox live on the 360 to download my profile.

It still won’t work. I’ve done everything you said before and just now. It just says “can’t connect to Xbox live. Select test connection to troubleshoot your connection.” When I test it, it just goes to the One test screen and says everything is fine.
