Trial version of Minecraft accidentally downloaded, now can't play the disc. HELP!!!

My son accidentally downloaded the trial version of Minecraft. We already have the disc, but now we can only play the trial version. We uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it, but it just reinstalled the trial version again. Any advice on how to play the
disc and get rid of the trial?

I have the full minecraft version downloaded to my xbox.. When I try to go play Minecraft, It works as the trial version. I tried to do several license transfers but all of them give me the trial version. I absolutely, do not, and don't have the money, to
pay for Minecraft again. Someone please Help !

Did she download the trial version of the game before she got the disc? If so, that is probably why you are seeing that. On my under the "My games" tab it will show two Minecraft games. One for the disc that is in the console that will be listed as Xbox
360 and the trial version that I downloaded will say Xbox arcade. Hope that helps...

 

After uninstalling the Trial Version, did you put the disc in and just let the disc install it or are you finding the icon in your My Games and Apps section and installing it from there? If you have the disc, you should just uninstall the Trial Version,
put the disc in, and let the auto loader do the work. That way it just installs whats on the disc.

If that doesn't work, try installing from the disc on a different account. Disc games are playable across all accounts regardless of who installed them as where downloaded games can get flagged by DRM.

 

Didn't work. Now when we put in the disk it only gives us the option of buying the game.

 

May need to clear persistent cashe to allow the game to install. In the settings, go to disk management and clear/erase the game saves/data. Do a hard reset and reinstall the game from the disk.

 

When you put the disc in it doesn't just start installing the game? It takes you to the store and gives you the option to buy it? Are we sure it's a purchased copy of the full game and not a trial or demo disc? The auto loader should just be booting up
whats on the disc, so if it's taking you to the store, it may be a demo disc or a bad copy.

Is it possible for you to link a picture of the disc and box?
