TRIAL Games

So I downloaded and played my first trial game on XBox One. Ya know, to see if I liked it? I was only allowed to play the tutorial, which is perfectly ok with me, since trial games have been around for what 8 years now? Anyway, after about 30 minutes of
playing, I decided that despite liking the game, I would never have time to actually play, as it is a substantially large one. Well upon winding down my time in the tutorial, I unlocked an achievement? Uhhhhhhhhhh, WHAT?!! I didn't want this on my M$ gamertag.
I know in the past you could remove a game from your profile/ tag if you'd not unlocked an achievement. So how about this? It's a trial game. I don't want it, and in fact with what I suspect is m$'s new marketing ploy to sell more digital titles, I will NOT
be playing ANY more trial games. I will rent them, try them on an offline account, and if I don't like them I will return them. Which as a matter of fact, I just cancelled the next three preorder games I had. I'm renting them. An actionable and unwanted force
upon me, receives an opposite reaction out of me. Basically all I want to know is how to remove this from my profile/ tag. NOT be told by a m$ representative to go to TA for help on removing it. That's just plain ignorant and not acceptable from a m$ representative.

I don't believe you can. I know that the limited time for a trial is usually only 1 hour.

 

You can't remove it once you've unlocked an achievement. You're stuck.

 

So who do we go to to get it removed?

 

No one? You can't get it removed. You've unlocked an achievement.

 

NOT an option. What I am looking for here is someone to get a hold of who CAN do that, as it needs to be done. This is their doing, NOT mine. This needs to be addressed. I'm not looking for CAN'T, I'm looking for these are the individuals, or this is the
department that you need to get in touch with. I've already spoken with support both on the phone and in chat. I want an answer, I want a RESPONSIBLE employee to read this or be referenced so this can be RECTIFIED. Can't do it, doesn't and wont work, and it
most certainly doesn't make it go away.

"Can I earn achievements in a trial?"

Maybe. It's up to the individual game publisher to determine if they offer achievements in a trial.

"I earned achievements in a trial. Will I lose them if I don’t buy the full game?"

No. Any achievements earned are permanently part of your Xbox Live profile.

Soak up that 15 point achievement... love it... accept it.... grow with it.

 

Right, I understand that NOW they can be. Wasn't the question. Just the fact that I need to read and filter through the muddle mess that is m$ terms, forums or any other pertinent information is disastrous enough in and of itself. If it was "up" to publishers,
are we really to believe that NONE except this one have decided to experiment with that tactic? Or is it more likely that as a corporation, m$ is STILL hell bent on FORCING digital EVERYTHING? If so, great, but give me some options to get out of it. I do appreciate
the help in Trying to locate someone to talk to, and I will keep on until this is FIXED!! This isn't going away.

 

To save money and hassle from renting games, I would create a second account to play any future trials on. I feel your pain, as I have a few games that I have 1 or 2 achievements in that I will never complete, however, there is no way to remove achievements.
I recommend voting for this (xbox.uservoice.com/.../6028930-remove-achievements-that-you-have) and any other similar
ideas you can find on the Xbox Feedback site. Many of the suggestions from that site have come into fruition (backwards compatibility being one of the most prominent), so Microsoft clearly pays attention to it.

Sorry that there isn't a better answer to your question, but maybe it will one day be a Game with Gold.
