    Transformers: The Last Knight 4K Disc Not Working on XBox One S


    We recently purchased the Transformers: The Last Knight 4K Blu Ray. The XBox One S keeps telling us it can't read the disc. Other 4K blu rays work fine. WE HAVE ALREAY TAKEN THE DISC BACK TWICE...SAME RESULT FOR ALL 3 DISCS. Does anyone know if there
    is a problem with this particular disc being compatible with the XBox One S? I know this is Paramount's first "Dolby Vision" HDR disc, but a per the spec, the HDR10 version is said to be on the disc.

    Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

    Total system crash on Xbox One S while running a UHD 4K BluRay & no ATMOS or DTS X.

    Dead pool UHD 4k disc does not play on the xbox one s. Goes back to home screen.

    4K Blu Ray not playing

    Tried to play my new Star Wars The Last Jedi 4K blu ray last night. My xbox one s just kept getting stuck and saying disc was not recognized. Anyone got any help or advice.

    Having the same problem with Oblivion (Tom Cruise movie) 4K disc... really frustrating.

    Are there any plans to make Xbox One compatible with 4k discs and games?

    Hi

    The Xbox One can't play 4K Blu ray discs at a hardware level and a firmware update will not be able to add this feature to the console. You will need to purchase an Xbox One S to be able to play 4K discs.

    I believe that the Xbox One S can only do 4K through media, such as 4K blu-ray disc's / Netflix and so on,

    If trying to play games at 4K, you need the Xbox One X.

    I understood that Ghostbusters reference! (At least I hope you're referring to Ghostbusters here).

    As the others already explained: S stands for "Slim", as the S model was "slimmer" than the original Xbox One.

    And the "Xbox One S all digital edition" is able to play streaming
    4K content. 4k doesn't necessarily require a 4K BluRay disc.

    Netflix and Amazon Prime Video (and probably other streaming services) already feature streaming 4K content the One S and One S All Digital Edition (and the One X) can play.
