    Transferring Xbox Windows Game Achievements/Items earned/purchased to Xbox Play Anywhere


    Will I be able to transfer to Xbox Play Anywhere the achievements that I have earned in a game played that I have been playing on Xbox Windows if the game becomes available in Xbox Play Anywhere after the fact? My son and I have been playing a game in Xbox
    Windows for some time and have invested many hours and money to earn achievements and items. I bought an Xbox One console for his upcoming birthday and would like to transfer any games that we have been playing on Xbox Windows as the become available on Xbox
    Play Anywhere. I haven't found any information on any FAQs or Forums in this regard. Can anyone provide me with a definitive answer? Thanks

    Do Xbox 360 achievements transfer to Xbox One?

    Yes and no. You don't "transfer" achievements. You earn achievements. The achievements you earn on the 360 are attached to your gamercard. When and if you get a Xbox One and play a Xbox One game, you continue to earn achievements on your same gamercard, granted you didn't make a new account to play with on the Xbox One.

    HELP!!! Licence Transfer Problem

    If I remember right you can do all that on the Xbox website in your account. And just queue it all up .

    On your computer

    To see your purchase history, go to Account Purchase History and sign in with your Windows Live ID (email and password).
    Browse your purchase history. If you want to download something again, click Add to queue. This adds the item to your console’s download queue.
    Turn on your console and connect to Xbox LIVE. The items will begin downloading.
    Note Downloading previously purchased content to a different Xbox 360 console does not transfer the content's licence. If you want to use content without signing in to Xbox LIVE, you must transfer the content licence to the console. For information on how to transfer licences, see Can’t play content after console was repaired or replaced.

    If I understand what you're asking you want to know that if any PC games that you're playing right now get the Play Anywhere functionality added to them, will their achievements transfer?

    The basic answer is that we don't know and that it may depend.

    For a game like Quantum Break or Gears of War - probably.

    For older Games for Windows Live games - probably not.

    For any other achievement systems (e.g. Steam, uPlay, Origin) - probably not.

    Currently purchased Vbucks do not transfer to other platforms.

    For example you can not use the Vbucks on PC if you purchased them on Xbox.

    However, the in game items you spend your Vbucks on DO transfer.

    • Vbucks CAN NOT be transferred to any other platform than the one you purchased them on.
    • Vbucks earned from the Battlepass DO transfer.
    • Vbucks earned from Save the World DO transfer.
    • Items purchased with Vbucks DO transfer.

    In a nut shell, Vbucks that you Purchase CAN NOT be transferred. Vbucks that you Earn CAN be transferred.

    As Overwatch is not a Play Anywhere title, the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions of the game would be separate, I'm afraid. Items and add-ons from the Xbox One version would not transfer to the Windows 10
    version.

    Hi, If you want to play the Xbox One version of the games you own on Steam, then you will have to pay for them again. None of the purchases will transfer over to the new console. Xbox Play Anywhere only applies to games purchased digitally from the Microsoft
    store on Windows 10 or Xbox One.
