Transferring Xbox Account and details to Microsoft account

Hi all,

So, as I'm sure is the case with many people, when my parents first bought me an Xbox, I was quite young and so I couldn't set it up using my email in my name, instead it was set under my father's.

This was fine for the first few years and got a bit annoying but manageable in my mid teens.

Recently however, my father passed away. It's a sad reminder having to use his email for everything Xbox related.

Is there any way to transfer the Xbox account associated with his Microsoft account to
my Microsoft account? That is including games, gamertag, progress, friends etc.? Obviously I have access to both accounts in question.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sign in to your account using your existing alias and password.
Go to Your info at the top of the page.
Select Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
You may be asked to verify your account before changes can be made. Follow the instructions provided to select your alias:
- Select Add email. You can create either a new Outlook.com email address or add an address that you already have. Then, select
  Add alias. You’ll be returned to the previous screen. Select
  Verify and follow the instructions provided.
- Or, select Add phone number. Enter the phone number you want to use, and then select
  Next. When you add a new phone number, we'll send a text message to that number to verify it. Enter the code in the text message, and then select
  Next.
  Note Email addresses and phone numbers that are already an alias on another account can’t be used.

It can take up to 48 hours for the change to be implemented across all Microsoft services. If you sign in to your Microsoft account on an Xbox One console by using your Kinect sensor, you might temporarily
be asked to manually sign in with a controller. If you're still being asked to manually sign in after 2 days, try removing your account from the console and then adding it back.

You can use any email address or phone number you have listed as an alias to sign in. To make it harder for someone to break into your account, change your sign-in preferences to turn off any alias you
don't want used to sign in.

Your Xbox account is linked to your Microsoft account. If you want to chat with your friends, you will need to log-in to the PC with the same Microsoft account. Changing the email address will not work and Xbox details cannot be transferred to another Microsoft
account.

Can you not just sign in to the new PC with your existing Microsoft account?

Sorry to say but any type of content transfer between Microsoft accounts can't be made
Due to security reasons

The problem is not logging in with my Microsoft account, I'm easily able to login, it's that my Mojang account did not migrate. No detail of my Mojang account was transferred and I'm essentially playing on a new account, none of my worlds transferred, my server progress, not even my username. My display username here is my old Mojang accounts username.
